Tips for Golfers

Cover that skin. Sunscreen is a must. Make sure to use a higher SPF (sun protection factor) if you are going to be out in the sun for any length of time. The higher the SPF, the less frequently you'll have to reapply the lotion. A lot of brands make a spray-on applicator. This seems to work best for golfers who don't want that greasy feeling on their hands.

Wear a hat. It's important to protect the delicate skin on the head and face. The best protection, obviously, is a hat that provides the most coverage (don't forget the ears).

Be cool. Soak a towel in cool water and place it around your neck to keep your body from overheating. A lot of courses provide "ice" towels that the beverage-cart attendants or marshals hand out. Also, consider purchasing one of those "Aussie" hats that you can soak in water to keep your head cool.
