3 - 5-DAY WHITE MOUNTAINS TOUR

Explore this magical part of Arizona where four seasons still exist. Summer brings cool relief in Ponderosa Pine forests from the heat in lower deserts. Fall brings spectacular color as the aspens and oaks turns majestic shades of gold, orange and red. In winter, when weather cooperates, snow and skiing reign supreme. Spring brings a time of new birth as the trees and grasses begin to bloom all over again. The White Mountains is a great area for outdoor activities.

Start your trek in Payson and explore this growing town with its unique old time charm. Make a stop over in ShowLow, which gets its name from the famous card game. Visit Fool Hollow State Park just off the beaten path. Then move on to Pinetop-Lakeside. As self-described Pinetop-Lakeside is a wonderful high altitude location to relax, hike, boat, fish and more among the trails, lakes and forests. From here drive up Route 260 through the volcanic fields to Springerville and Eager. These Volcanic fields are some of the largest in the U.S. Accommodations in the White Mountains are limited so at peak times of year, advance reservations are highly recommended.
